Welcome to our website !
Hello everyone! Today I am doing a [long over due] post on The Wet Brush.
Here's some facts about The Wet Brush:

  • The Wet Brush has Intelliflex bristles, which are thinner than your normal hair brush
  • The Intelliflex bristles are very flexible, running through the strands of your hair instead of pulling it
  • The Wet Brush has ultra soft tips that will never come off
  • Works on wet and dry hair
  • For almost all hair types
  • Ideal for sensitive scalp and long hair
  • Also great for wigs and weaves!
  • There is also the Shine, Hot, and Blo Brush available

REVIEW

So I'm not really big into fads, and most of the time I just ignore what's popular at the moment. Until I needed a new hairbrush. Because my old one was pretty ratty looking, and it was for kids!

I mean come on, it's Hello Kitty. Who wouldn't want to brush their hair with Hello Kitty!?

Anyway, the glue was wearing out, Hello Kitty started to look like her insides were being disembowelled - it was time for a new brush. It wasn't the greatest of brushes. I think it took about 30-40 seconds to untangle my long hair, or until I was fed up with brushing it.

After reading Allie's review on The Ultimate Detangling Brush, I had to ask if it actually worked. Allie wasn't there to reply, but Amy was, and she suggested The Wet Brush. With all the wonderful reviews it got, I got one the next day.

Shipping took a day because I got it shipped from Vancouver. Yes, I'm that lazy. But when you live in a city as big as Vancouver, driving or taking transit for a hair brush seems too out of the way. In total I paid $20, with $3 shipping.

Looks pretty normal, right?

The brush has a soft yet grippy texture. I got black because I couldn't decide on a colour, and didn't want to pay extra for all the cool designs that they had.

This was my hair before. I had just got back from an interview. (which I  got the job for... hurrah!)
I had been out for about two hours. Looks messy and frizzy.

Honestly, I didn't think this would work.

But it did!

And let me tell you, I'm pleased with it. It took me under 10 seconds to brush my hair. That's 70% less time than brushing with Hello Kitty. It literally went straight through my hair.

It looks like a lot that came out on the brush, but it wasn't. Since my hair is so long, some does come out naturally. I actually picked each individual strand out counting it, and the majority of them were split ends. I haven't cut my hair since December... so obviously it'll look like less than what I have.

OMG! The Wet Brush definitely has my seal of approval!
(Yes, that was my face when I tried it out for the first time)

UPDATE: After spending some time with the wet brush, I still consider this brush a lot more gentler on my hair... at times. If I tease my hair, or if it gets windy and my hair gets tangled, the wet brush CANNOT take out the little knots in my hair and actually hurts my scalp! So I have to use my wide tooth comb. My hair still combs out in the wet brush like any ordinary brush, but again I have pretty long thick hair. I probably wouldn't buy it again, and stick with a bristle brush and my wide-tooth comb! This brush is best suited for people with shorter hair than I, or someone who has straight hair (I'm naturally curly).
I found this hair mask on Roseroseshop when I made two major orders.  I was drawn to this mask in particular because of the brand A'Pieu and that I had previously bought a foundation stick by them and loved it!  I figured it would be the same for the hair mask.

I've never used a hair mask that was strictly just a cloth.  This is extremely different for me so I was curious as to how it worked.  The directions are in Korean but there are fairly user friendly images shown as well.

Okay, so as soon as you open the package this is what you see.

This kind of scares me.  It looks like a diaper! At this point I have no idea how this is going to work and frankly extremely confused.  There's an elastic on the wing to tie your hair up once you get it all in the diaper.

I had some issues with this part.
I didn't even get as much hair as I wanted in the bag. and it kept falling all over with just the one elastic supplied.

I ended up putting my hair in a bun with my elastic.
The smell was something of aloe and reminded me of the Hartz Aloe sheets.
My end results were absolutely nothing, in fact it made my hair stringy with a crinkling look.  This was not an ideal product at all! I like that I got to use a different style of hair mask however it's probably not the mask for me.  If I didn't use it properly, please let me know as I also have a night mask to try!
This will be the final review of Etude House Silk Scarf hair mask series with level 3, Argan Seed mask.
Just for recapping purposes I have listed the previous links of the hair masks.  Each one is a different level, as they get higher they get more effective.

No.3 Argan seed

The Argan seed mask is a level 3 mask so it is going to be pretty effective and have quite a significant turnout.
I found that this hair mask has very similar qualities to the Avocado hair mask with the smell and how it applies.  Even though there's the same amount of product as the others, this applied very good and felt super moisturizing to my hair-just like a conditioner-almost immediately.  As far as the smell, it does indeed smell of Argan, which I love!
I kept the mask in overnight and part of the day so by the time rinsing came around it had pretty well entirely absorbed into my hair.  Just because all of the product has absorbed into your hair doesn't mean it didn't disappear. while I was rinsing all of the product came out just like conditioner.  Afterwards my hair was extremely shiny, silky and smooth.  As far as the scent goes I couldn't really smell it afterwards.

Pros
  • Great smell
  • Applied well
  • Silky
  • Shiny
Cons
  • Could have used a tiny bit more product
  • No after smell
I don't have a whole lot of negative to say about this mask because it's all around a great hair mask for anybody who wants to get life back into their hair!

Now that I've finally gotten the chance to try all four levels of the silk scarf collection I would definitely recommend level 3 and 4 for the great quality and level 1 for the nice floral smell.  The only one that I was disappointed in was level 2 that I would pass on, all the others are a thumbs up in my books.

This will be the third review for the Etude House Silk Scarf hair mask collection, you can read the other two here and here.
I found the same issue with my Camellia seed where there wasn't enough product for my entire head.  What was different from that was that it didn't seem to soak in or go farther as the Camellia seed which seems pretty odd as we're now onto level 2.  Hoping for the best, I left it in overnight and most of the following day.
As I was going to rinse out, it felt like I was rinsing out shampoo, not a hair mask let alone conditioner.  I used a little bit of conditioner to smooth and calm my hair down.  This alone kind of drew me away from the mask.
I didn't smell very much from the mask and if it did have any at all it was very subtle!   Don't use this if you want really nice smelling hair.
By the time it was all said and done, my hair was a little bit shiny.  If this is all this mask is going to provide me, I would have passed.  Like I said on the Camellia review, this might serve a better purpose to people with a little bit shorter hair so that it will go all throughout and not just patches.
Because the detangling brush is on the rave lately, I wanted to see what it was all about.  I haven't owned a brush in a few years at least.  I never brush my hair enough because it's curly and will make my hair transform into a mop.  Because I have curly hair, it can also get very tangly and fast so it'll hurt and have a lot of hair coming out when I do end up brushing it.

"This lightweight and portable brush instantly smooths and detangles all hair types and textures, wet or dry.  Innovative configuration of  the soft-touch and flexible bristles provides gentle yet effective detangling action with every stroke.  The ergonomic, non slip handle fits comfortably in your hand for easy and precise styling."

What sets this brush apart from other brushes is that it's made of only plastic and the brush part has long and short bristles.  The handle is actually really comfortable to use and molds into my hand shape and should be versatile to fit most hand shapes.

I was so blown away with the results of this brush that I couldn't stop brushing my hair!  Even with all of the tangles and knots in my curly hair, it didn't pull my hair even once and went through really smoothly with very little fallout!  I tried this with dry and wet hair and both times the exact same result.
This brush is a godsend, there's literally nothing bad to say about it! For $8, I recommend everybody pick up one of these.  I can guarantee you won't look back!
Before I get started on the review I want to say that I have never seen a hair mask pack this big!  I have a samsung3(a pretty big phone) to compare to the size of Skinfood's Argan Oil Silk hair mask.
So the hair mask comes in 2 parts, the hair treatment and an essence cap.  I have never seen a hair mask that includes the cap.

The backside of the packaging has the directions in English so to be user friendly.  One thing that you should be cautious about is avoiding your scalp while using this mask as it's made for brittle and dry hair.  Because my hair is neither of those, I'm not expecting a huge change after the treatment.  It also says to leave in for a short period of time but I always opt to leave it in overnight anyway.

The hair treatment is the tiny part of the pack.  It's got a conditioner-like consistency and has a little bit of a pink hue to it which doesn't really show up on camera.  If you have long hair like me, this mask pack alone may not work on all of your hair so try to concentrate mainly on the ends.  I was disappointed in how little treatment that was in here compared to the size of the pack.

The hair cap was different for me and therefore quite the excitement.  I was hoping it would be all full of essence like a face mask is for some reason.  It turns out that yes it had a little bit of essence but nothing too extensive.  Anyway, cap goes on and hair goes up then the waiting process starts.

After a few hours my hair cap had dried up and most of the treatment had soaked right into my hair.  I love that feeling because my hair is getting the treatment to its full ability.
My hair is visibly shiny and is smooth to the touch. I really like the outcome of this hair mask.  A little goes a long way but I still think that I will need more treatment in order to get the best effect that I can.

Pros
  • Cool packaging
  • Hair cap
  • Shiny hair
  • Great for dry brittle ends
Cons
  • Bad smell
  • Not enough treatment for long hair
This mask is more directed towards people who dye their hair or put a lot of heat on it.  You can get the full size product here
It's pretty safe to say that I went a little bit crazy with this one.. but wait... this is only half of it!! I made another transaction 2 weeks after I ordered this one!  hehe, I'm a little bit obsessed ok?? But let's just face it, who can actually resist all of the cuteness.

We can see that it came nicely packaged all bubble wrapped and plastic bagged in case of leakage. A+ Roseroseshop!
Shipping only took about 3 weeks to get here and considering that it's coming from Korea, that's actually extremely fast.
I ordered a lot of samples on this haul so let's start off with those.

I actually have been meaning to order some Banila Co. because it looks really good quality but it's so expensive so when I seen there was a sample size(which I'm not sure is available on roserose anymore) I had to jump on it.

I love Apieu so since these were sample sizes I figured may as well go for it.

Tony Moly Banana hand milk and sleeping pack
Banana

Now, Too Cool For School has one of the most fantastic packaging I have yet to see in Kbeauty and I am confident that they are nothing short of quality.

The next two are still considered sample sizes but they're in kits.

Etude House Collagen Moistfull skin care kit.
I don't think this is available anymore but they have Moistfull all over the website.

 Innisfree Eco Science special kit.
I don't think this is available either but I found this link here that is close to it.

Now, onto the full sized items.

Oh before I forget, I picked up a Too Cool For School Marshmallow Puff.  Most Korean brands carry their own 'puffs' aka Beauty Blenders for really cheap and well since I'm a cheap-o I went ahead and bought this as well.

Aqua Rush Peel Gel mask.
This was on for dirt cheap because the expiry date is coming up in July.  I figured if I was having a girls night we could all use it and it would be used up real quick.  Peel masks are great!

Skin Food Olive Mask.
I'm pretty sure they don't carry this anymore either! I bought this because it looks right cool and it was on sale, of course!

Now onto the hair products.
Apieu hair mask day and night.

holy this mask is huge! I'm excited to try it and give a review on it.

The Face Shop Peach Floral Hair mist.

Since my first Argan bottle is almost finished, I decided to go ahead and order another one!  This time I got the Treatment Oil Fusion.
I love water and I love Welcos.  No wrong done here.
Because my hair is naturally curly I bought this to help bring my curls out even more.

And lastly, roseroseshop supplies every customer with free samples in their order. (woops picture is upside down my bad)

And so concludes part 1 of my Roseroseshop haul.  I'm so excited to be able to share all of these products with you guys in reviews as well as looking forward to my next package to arrive!
