I recently ran out of day & night cream and decided to order some stuff from Rose Rose Shop because I haven't since August! For those of you who are new to the blog, Rose Rose Shop is a discounted Korean beauty product online store. Allie & I first discovered Rose Rose while googling cheap asian beauty products because we wanted to try something new and we both love Asian culture. We placed our first orders and we were nothing but happy about it, so we decided this was one of our go-to shops to buy from.

That being said, today I will be reviewing a product from my recent order: the Mise En Scene Hello!! Bubble Foam Colour in Raspberry Red.

I was a little skeptical ordering hair dye from another country because... well... it's from another country! I had read reviews online and they all said that it was a great product and that they would buy again. But with the examples given, many of the people had very dark brown or black hair and when they used the hair dye it gave them a hint of red to it. I had no idea how my hair colour was going to turn out!! So I bit the bullet and got it.

The reason why I got it was the foam hair dye. My boyfriend actually dyes my hair himself (he's such a pro for only doing it three times) so I wanted something a bit easier for him to apply to my long hair. Dying my hair usually takes about two long gruelling hours.

The contents of the box came with two white packets and a bottle with a nozzle, gloves, conditioner, and even a plastic cape!

The application was fairly easy. You pump the dye straight into your hand and apply. I got a nice scalp massage and applying it only took 45 minutes! The hair dye did not have a strong chemical smell. It smelled absolutely amazing! Like a coconutty perfumey smell. The only thing I didn't like was that it made my head itch a bit, while other reviews said that it didn't.

When you first apply the product, it doesn't show up on your hair right away. After a few minutes though, my hair looked extremely dark. Nothing like the colour - almost black. I was a bit afraid that I got a colour that was too dark for my liking, because this product is made in Korea and Koreans have naturally black hair.

For the instructions, they were fairly easy. I understand and can read a bit of Korean so that helped me differentiate between what packets were what, but by looking at the pictures a foreigner could completely understand. The instructions were very fun to look at also.

I wasn't sure about the time I should leave it on, so I left it in for about 45 minutes. Rinsing it out was a bit of work because there was a LOT of hair dye (I like to used the entire bottle in one sitting). The hair dye while rinsing out was really dark and almost looked like oxidized blood. But after a while it slowly let up, and I got to use the conditioner. The conditioner was a really bright orange which was surprising! I can't exactly remember the smell of it but I remember thinking "Well this isn't a smell I have smelled before..." so I'm not really sure if I like it or not? Ahah.

I left my hair to dry naturally and went to bed. When I woke up, I looked in the mirror and I was completely surprised!

My hair was SO red! It is easily one of the most vibrant colours I have ever used on my hair, besides the hot pink I once had. My hair was super soft, smelled so good. I was pleasantly surprised how much the colour took. But would it pass the shower test?

Red hair dye is known to fade quite quickly. Anybody who dyes their hair red knows that a lot of colour comes out while washing your hair, and to keep the water cool or lukewarm. Surprisingly, this hair colour does not come out a lot. I can barely see the dye in the water when I'm showering! I was really happy with that, and even continuously rinsing my hair after sweaty work outs, it barely fades. I am so happy with this product, Mise En Scene has a new customer!

You can probably tell I will buy this product again. I would rate it 9/10, just because my head got a little itchy during the application. Other than that, I highly recommend this product for people who want a vibrant red colour, who have really long hair, and want a easy go-to product when they don't have a lot of time.

Now to my understanding there are quite a few people who are avid couponers as a means for saving money, which is a good thing to do especially if you are on a budget! There are more coupons and deals in the United States than there are in Canada so that means less opportunity for me.
So with that being said when I do get to go shopping I have the tendency to gravitate towards the sales items (lol) :) .
When you are going for the sales it is always a good idea to make a mental note or even carry a piece of paper around with you to write it down if you have a bad memory or also if you are planning on having a huge shopping cart such as groceries.
Once you get to the checkout, make sure to ask the cashier if the price is what it should be! This is a very crucial step, if you don't ask it may be scanning in as the regular price, which is not what the sign said!

I was in WalMart today shopping around and had to buy hair dye. Of course I was looking for the cheapest best quality box there was.  There was a sign up that said "2 for $18" and nothing else. I thought well maybe if that is the right price it sounds like a pretty good deal, and if it isn't then I will just not bother and shop around for cheaper dye.  So I grabbed 2 and took them up to the checkout.  Of course it rung in full price, in which case I told the cashier that there was a sign saying it was this price, he had just suggested me to go to customer service so I told him I would.  After buying all of the other stuff I got I walked right back up to the hairdye and asked for an associate to check for me. She seen the sale but it was still ringing up full price on her gun and nothing about a sale.  So I told her that I would go to customer service and if I could use her name as a reference, and she replied very positively about that! <Good customer service.
I went to customer service, I told her that an employee had already seen it with me but I had no objection of walking back down there with her so that is what we did.  It turns out that the signs were up there and it was the product that I had picked up!



Now for the conclusion of my story, most stores and business have this thing called "code of conduct" that when you find a product with the wrong price on it you typically get the product free or at an extremely discounted price!  Seriously, how cool is that? It varies between stores so just be weary of that it isn't the same at every place!

With this circumstance I had gotten the first product free!  And the second at the discounted price that it should have been.

Because I had picked that out and had that little bit of extra patience with the employees I had got 2 full sized L'oreal hair dyes for a little over $5 each! How cool is that? Not to mention it is much better than couponing!  It pays to know these things, and also I can't stress this enough, look at your receipts! Human error is real and a thing!

Now, another example of a company which practices the "code of conduct" is Burger King.  Going through the drive-thru one evening and the small smoothies had the wrong price, they had given them to us free of charge!

The reason companies have this policy is because in the long run, I am saving them money by bringing the signs to their attention. Other customers may come along and want the discounted price as well, or if they know that it is not priced correctly they could take the entire stock and get it for free!

I have been wanting to go purple for a very long time. I have tried almost every type of purple hair dye, from Manic Panic, Jerome Russell, to the lesser known brands. They ALL washed out within a week.
I know purple isn't really a permanent colour, but I was determined to find something that would actually... last. My last resort in my mind was the box dye you would buy at the drugstore.

Well, this is my last resort.

I decided to go with the lightest purple I could find, which was L'Oreal Paris' Healthy Look in Darkest Plum.

All the other boxes looked scary.

To be honest I wasn't going to dye my hair for another week, but my blonde roots were close to coming to one inch, and nothing feels better than hair that's freshly dyed!

The box came with instructions, gloves, colour, peroxide, and hair conditioner.
The instructions were extremely easy. It's three steps. Literally, that is it.
Application was extremely easy. I usually use an applicator brush for hair dye. I had to layer the hair dye a bit more, because this colour is fairly dark and my hair colour before was a pretty light red after fading out for quite some time.

This is basically the before picture of my hair (minus the roots, it's a pretty old pic).

So, as you can see, I had somewhat of work to do.

Personally I REALLY like to take my time with my hair. Since I'm doing it by myself, I have to make sure I get every single strand there is. My hair usually takes around two hours to dye, minus the time you have to keep it in.
Unfortunately, this time took more than three. I had ran out of hair dye when it came to my hair underneath!! It was already 2:30 in the morning, and I was getting tired, so I just showered, washed the dye out, and waited til eight so I could pick up another box.
So fair warning, if you have long hair like me, GET TWO BOXES. PLEASE.

Since it's a purple dye, the wash out took a little bit longer. The thing with colours like purple and red, dye is going to continue to come out no matter if the water is still a tint of red/purple. So, once it's a light tint of the hair colour, it's time to step out of the shower.

These are the results if you're interested. I took these today, my hair is a little greasy though lol!
I took these pictures outside so you can see how it looks out in the sun. Taking pictures indoors makes my hair look completely black.

So, the verdict? I would use this product again. I'm a big fan with L'Oreal Paris and their hair dyes (especially Feria. Like WOW). My hair always ends up shiny, soft, and healthy looking after I dye my hair from their products. I've been using L'Oreal Paris hair dye since I was in high school. I don't think I will ever go back to another hair dye. 

I will let you guys know how long this colour lasts in my hair. After a couple weeks, I'll update and put a link to the post in this post either down here or up top.
