Welcome to our website !
Hi there PYMUO followers! How is everyone doing today?

Today I will be going over my every day skin care routine. It's super easy. It only has two products and two steps. This is excluding SPF which I highly recommend after you wash your face in the morning! But as we all know, that's beauty care 101 so I don't feel like I should mention it.

The very first product I use is coconut oil. Coconut oil is great for many things such as...

  • cracked and dry lips
  • softening the skin
  • cracked and dry feet
  • skins disorders such as psoriasis, acne, and eczema
  • treating minor infections

It is also an AMAZING make up remover! Even with extremely dark makeup I don't have to stand in front of the mirror for very long because it is SO effective and cheap (it even takes off your hard to remove mascara!!!).

The second product I use is tea tree oil. Tea tree oil has anti-fungal properties and helps with...

  • acne, dark spots, and blemishes
  • fungal and bacterial infections
  • minor cuts, wounds, warts, ringworm, insect bites, rashes
  • dandruff
  • healing piercings
  • soothing nickel allergies and other allergic reactions
  • cure for dry skin when mixed with a moisturizer

Be careful not to put it around your eye area as it can be a little overwhelming, and never put tea tree oil by itself on your face unless you are tackling a zit or a pimple.

Also, please do not use a lot of coconut oil. Using excessive amounts of coconut oil will make you break out. What I do is gently swipe my finger into the oil, because I found putting too much will suffocate the skin and we don't want excess oil.

STEP ONE

Apply a dime size amount of coconut oil onto the palm of your hand and rub it into your palm. Rub your hands for one second under warm water, then apply to the face. I like to take my time getting every area of my skin, and even my neck. When you put the coconut oil on it will feel like a slippery film is on your face. This is normal.

STEP TWO

Now rinse your face with warm water. I don't rinse as much as I would with a cleanser, as I want some coconut oil to remain on my face.
Pat your face dry. Put one drop of tea tree oil on your palm and rub together. Pat on the face.

And you are done! That is my skin care routine.
After only a week I noticed a huge difference in the way my face looks after using coconut and tea tree oil. These are the things that I notice most:

  • super soft skin
  • redness in the cheeks are gone
  • no breakouts
  • i look less tired
  • acne scars slowly fading away
  • skin lightening
Play around with the amount of oils needed for your face. Each and every one of us has different skin. I highly recommend this skin care regime, and you can use it on your back, or anywhere else on your body if you have acne! You can also leave out the tea tree oil and just use coconut oil to moisturize your hands, elbows, feet and even really dry hair. Don't be afraid to experiment with coconut oil!
Let me start by saying I AM SO OBSESSED WITH THIS THING. It has been my favourite purchase out of the lush products (probably because I can actually eat it).

So the product looks like this in case you haven't seen it before:
(My phone takes really awesome photos for not being an iPhone)

Now at the store there was three flavours: mint, popcorn, and bubblegum. I decided to go with mint because it's a safe flavour and I know what it's going to taste like (it doesn't actually taste like chocolate mint though, just mint). Although, the popcorn scrub smelled SO GOOD so I think I'll try that next time!

Let me start by saying I got this product because for whatever reason, I get flaky lips easily. They're not necessarily dry, but my skin likes to peel off and it's annoying. I can go for two days without exfoliating and they go flaky.
For a while I have been using a cheap face brush I got at Forever 21. It was too hard on my face so I decided to put it on my lips. Worked well - but kind of took a while to get the flaky skin off and while doing so, sometimes I bled.

I really recommend this product for this problem, because it contains three different types of oils to combat dryness but also uses cane sugar to gently exfoliate the skin. It also buffers the lips, so you get a nice pinky/rosey tone after using it.

The cost was a little high - $10. But a little really goes a long way. You simply just have to lick your finger and dab it in the sugar and scrub. That's it.
Unfortunately the downside to this product is that it tastes SO GOOD, that you start eating it. Then it goes quicker because you keep eating it. I try not to eat it, but sometimes, I will literally just get enough on my finger and eat it.
Be wary of this, ahah!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially people with more sensitive lips. It's so worth the $10  I paid for it.

Okay so I'm going to call this a "haul" because I don't understand how people can purchase more than ten products from this place and not go broke and then go back four weeks later and spend more money on another ten products because these four products cost $85.00 alone which is outrageous but ENOUGH OF MY RANTING lets get onto the products shall we?

A little background on why I bought these - I ran out of soap. I usually use a dreadlock shampoo which is around $8.00 - $10.00 depending on where I get it in the city. I use it for face and body and sometimes clothes. I really like it except that it makes my hair dry and frizzy because, well, dreadlock shampoo doesn't have any moisturizing ingredients in it.

So as I'm going through the store, not  five minutes in and a sales associate comes up to me to ask how I'm doing and if I'm looking for something. She was very knowledgeable about all of the products I was looking for/at and she made me feel very comfortable, especially it being my first time buying anything from there. She listed everything from gels, to bars, creams, and soaps for my hair and body, yadda yadda. She was great. I forget her name but I'm definitely going to ask for a manager when I call tomorrow and tell him/her what a lovely associate she was.

Anywho, I bought Blousey Shampoo, Retread Hair Conditioner, Ice Blue Bar soap (cannot get enough of the smell), and Mint Julips Lip Scrub.

I've always wanted to try the lip scrub as I had a friend who absolutely loved it in the bubble gum flavour and simply bought it because she liked the taste of it. This was around three years ago so I have yet to try it. I won't say my lips are dry but for some reason they get flakey. I'm always applying lip balm because I hate the feeling of dry lips. I also use a tooth brush to scrub them and sometimes I find my lips start to bleed from getting the skin off.

From the description of the bar of soap in Icy Blue (which by the way I could not choose because some of them smelled SO GOOD. There was also shower gel that smelled exactly like grass, but I don't use shower gel), and apparently it TINGLES! SOLD!

The shampoo and conditioner I bought for dry hair. I NEVER cut my hair. Last week I trimmed the ends and haven't done so for a year. Sorry to all hair dressers out there, but unless I have a style, I will not go for a hair cut. So recently I've been treating my hair with a lot of love.

I really can't wait to try these products as I hear a lot of great things about LUSH and their products, despite how absolutely ridiculously expensive they are. I will be writing reviews on each of these products in a week or two as I'll get to use them. I'll post the links in this blog post as well as the HAUL link up top.
