Welcome to our website !
Hey guys!  Today I'm going to review a shampoo that I've been using for the past little while and let me tell you, this is something you do not want to miss out on!

Curly Wurly is a targeting shampoo for people who have curly hair, however I would recommend this shampoo to anybody who loves coconut and treating your hair with a lot of love!

Thank you Sash!
This shampoo only comes in one size of 220g, for anybody who is familiar with Lush products is the larger container, for an outstanding price of $26.95CAD before taxes.  The Lush shop that I was in had one on display and I could smell the coconut from a mile away.  I had to have it even at that price.  Being skeptical on whether I've wasted my money or not, I would soon find out.

The directions are right on the container but the amount of what you use be adjusted to your length and thickness of hair.  I wasn't sure what a 'small amount' meant to Lush.  I then started experimenting with it and now what I do is use 2 fingers as a scoop and gather I would say about a tablespoon of the product and lather into my head completely.  I found that you don't get a really big lather but that doesn't affect the performance.
Pro tip: to expand the life of your product, wash your hair every second or third day or use it once a week while using regular shampoo the other days.

The smell of your hair when you get out is so great that I don't want to mix it with any of the oils I put in after, and sometimes I actually don't.  Once my hair is dried, the coconut smell is still there!  Amazing!
I'll pair Curly Wurly with any conditioner I'm using at the time, currently I'm using Whole Blends conditioner in coconut water and vanilla milk and I'll use a generous amount with it.
One thing I didn't notice from this shampoo though is that I don't see much difference in my curls.  I'm not sure if this is the shampoo or that my hair is so long and it's weighing down and spreading out my curls.  This doesn't affect my overall rating as that's not the reason why I bought it.

One thing I was actually quite skeptical about before actually buying the shampoo was how am I going to get the coconut out?!  I had just one idea and if that didn't work, well I was stuck with coconut chunks in my hair until they fell out naturally(which could take forever).  My brilliant idea was to use my detangling hair brush directly out of the shower to get the coconut out.  Could you believe it actually worked!  I allow my hair to air dry and I've only once or twice noticed a few stray coconut chunks.

Pros:
  • Moisturizing
  • Great smell
  • Shine
  • Coconut
  • Doesn't require a whole lot of product
  • Versatile for different hair types
  • Makes your hair clean and fresh
Cons:
  • Coconut chunks could be hard to get out
  • Pricey

I've had Curly Wurly for about a month now and have gotten approximately a third of the way through it.  This means that I should be able to make a container last around 3 months.  With a ratio on the price and how long I'll have it until it runs out and the quality I would say that it is definitely worth the extra money.  I think I've found my shampoo for life!
I've been meaning to get around to doing this post up and finally found the time to make one!  I use quite a bit of products in my shower and on my hair after the fact and I just wanted to share them with you guys.

After getting my hair wet I will immediately put in shampoo all the way to my roots first and let that soak while I'm either shaving or using body wash all over.  Sometimes I will actually skip the shampoo because it's not necessary for me.  Also I forgot to take a picture but due to the harsh weather changes in Canada I get dandruff quite often so if that's the case I always have Denorex or Selsun Blue.  I won't leave normal shampoo in for very long, approx. a minute or 2 at max then I'm rinsing it out.
Immediately after I will apply a generous amount of conditioner onto my hair, not going to the scalp because will generate dandruff for me.   I leave in my conditioner for the rest of my shower and remove it right before I'm about to get out.
I don't have any specific brands of conditioners or shampoos I use because I have untreated hair and I'm just not that picky, whatever smells good really.
For body wash I have a choice between these 3.
  • I use H20+ if I want to have a really fresh and clean ocean like smell afterwards.
  • I use TokyoMilk Dark in the fragrance Yesterday when I am going to a special event and want to smell extremely distinguished and alluring.
  • I use Prince Charming from Lush because it has a sweet and spicy smell to it that I kind of like.
It's really important to take care of yourself including your lady bits.  I have really sensitive skin so I use sensitive products.  This goes on before or after the body wash, I'm not too picky.

That's about all I do for my shower, excluding shaving.  Now onto the hair and post shower.

After I've towel dried my hair for a few minutes, L'oreal total repair goes on first just on the ends about 3-4 inches up. This smells really fruity and just a nice aroma.

I then flip my hair upside down and apply Lush R&B on my ends and up, not quite to my roots.  R&B has a citrus-like smell.

I then use 3 pumps of this and apply it from the bottom of my hair(still upside down) and then up to my ends.
These aren't done in any particular order, I just got used to the routine and do it this way.

To make myself smell great and my skin super soft, I use this Lush massage bar after I towel dry mself so I still have moisture in my skin and a little bit of water left, I rub this all over.  Sometimes I will use a powder to lock in the smel and mattify my skin.  But lately I have been skipping that step.   This has recently came into my routine and I love it!
It's not recommended to use this massage bar on dry skin because it just won't work.  If you want to use it on dry skin be sure to soak it in water before usage.

After everything is all said and done, I either put my hair up or keep it down and allow it to air dry!  And that is my regular shower routine and hair routine.  Occasionally I will put in a hair mask and leave that in overnight to restore health and make it extra shiny and soft.  There's not a whole lot to it but it feels more extensive than it actually is.
I haven't done one of these types of posts in quite a while and actually enjoyed doing them so I figured why not do another one?!  This way I'll be able to get a lot of items covered and not make a whole post on each of them as most of them don't really need a designated post.

So I rarely ever use shampoo, only conditioner but on the off chance that I do want to shampoo my hair, I need an option there for me other than dandruff shampoo.  I had been putting it off on buying any type of shampoo but once I seen this, well I just had to have it!  Not only is it pretty in pink, it also has sparkles all over the bottle!  This was simply irresistible.  It smells really nice too and not overpowering.  Price range this bottle is under 10$ so very affordable and pretty, what more could you ask for?!  Oh and it does do its job!
Next we have a candle that is currently burning.  I got this as a present from Raelene from our Christmas exchange. I'm assuming the name of it is 'Sensuous'.  It has a very strong Patchouli and natural scent.  I would say that it is very sensual and again not too overpowering either, which was what I was afraid it would be.  This is a very relaxing candle considering I had doubts on whether I would like this or not but I actually do. A+.

Thank you Reya!
Next I finally tried the Prince Charming shower gel from the Valentine's day present at Lush.  This has an acquired scent that definitely is not for everybody.  I got a very forest and spicy smell, which I kind of liked.  It did its job well as a shower gel and the smell seems to be staying on even after the shower.  I rarely ever use shower gel but with that being said I'm happy this is now mine because eventually I will end up using it all.  I also like that it is a nice travel sized bottle as well.

Can we just.. oh my god this packaging is super adorbs!
Okay, so I had recently purchased this mainly because the packaging like lol.. yep I am a sucker for cute packaging!  I also love Nivea, I find the brand to be super moisturizing and hydrating! yum.  Okay, the actual balm completely matches my parchment paper! How cool is that, and no I did not plan for this to happen either!  I was right, this is great for the lips and real hydrating!  It smells good enough to eat.  No seriously, can I take a bite?  I love this SO MUCH that it's going straight in my purse, kaythanks.

Okay so I got this in my memebox and use it every so often but not a whole lot.  This is called Jeju Hallabong energy by The Yeon.  Basically what you do is put it on your face at night or in the morning or just whenever.  It's supposed to allow your face to look more energized.  This has a strong mandarine smell and doesn't break me out nor is it sticky after application and soaks right into your skin.  It's not a bad product I just don't use it very often.  Click here a link if you want more information on this product or its ingredients.

Lastly we have yet again another Loreal product.  This is a serum that is designed to help damaged and split ends.  It comes out in two different colors, a red and clear then gets blended together during the application process.  I bought this from Target as I love anything to do with hair health and felt like I needed it, no other reason.  Anyway I opted to use this instead of my normal argan oil and Lush's R&B formula.  Not a whole lot to say about it, this smelled great and it may or may not work well for splits, I haven't given it enough uses to know for sure.  Generally I don't think any product will repair already split ends anyway.  Regardless of my thoughts, this smelled good and will make my hair smell good after it has dried!  That is all I really am concerned about because I don't have many split ends to be worried anyway.

Overall, I think I was most excited about the Nivea Blueberry Blush lip butter.  The sparkles in the shampoo was an added touch that I really enjoyed as well.  Candle is still burning and I'm feeling very relaxed.  Those were probably my top 3.  Not a whole lot of negative things to say about the rest either, they are all great products that have different features to them!
