Welcome to our website !
I was happy to see that August's Beauteque bag came with a couple products from a single brand. Because I haven't used any of these brands I figured I'd write about them as I use them!
Han Aka
Starting with Han Aka.

This face mask is called Black Rose Acne Fighting mask.
Those eyes just make the whole packaging.  Honestly, I didn't want to use it because of that reason.
Before doing any type of research whatsoever I decided to just jump right into it.

This is something fairly new to me and that it's also in a gel form as well.  If you're looking for a lovely smelling mask, this is not the one for you!  It was super strong and almost smelled like minty tar-if that even makes sense.
When you're doing this mask be sure to have all of your hair securely fastened on your head for no stray-aways as it is super messy!   It got in my hair during application and was next to impossible to get out dry without pulling my hair out.
I left it in for about half an hour then started peeling. OUCH!  I swear I just put tar on my face, holy we have some serious sticking powers here.  After it was all said and done, I had pulled out more facial hair than anything.  With that being said, I did notice that it made my skin fairly soft, my pores really clean and my skin a little lighter. This is really not what I'm looking for in a mask considering I'm trying to get a tan! eek!
On a better note: Even though this is a peel-off mask, I strongly do not recommend peeling it off but using warm water on a face cloth and rubbing in a circular motion.  This will remove the face mask fast and effectively without pulling facial hair out.

While I was peeling, I noticed that the mask had made holes.  I found this to be quite odd and didn't understand it at all.
I had to use a cooling mask shortly after because peeling it off had made my skin really hot.

I've never tried a mask quite like this before so it is something new.
Since the mask attaches on the ears, I was worried that it might slip off.  It turns out that this is certainly not the case and goes on very well.  It's stretchable too so it will fit any face shape and stay on.  Leaving it on for about 20 minutes then rinsing off, of course.
Other than being a different kind of face mask, I didn't notice much more difference from regular masks.  It did however, make my skin more elastic and toned up which is a great thing!  This was a great mask to try out but I can't see myself going out of my way repurchasing it.

Purederm

In the Beauteque box I had received a hair mask, oo my favorite!  Needless to say I was pretty excited in trying it out.  This mask in particular is for damaged, frizzy, or curly hair which suits perfect for my frizzy and curly hair.
This has a strong fresh smell of mint and chamomile, it was actually quite lovely.

Oops, I got off the how to use on the bottom.  It's pretty straight forward anyway.  The main part I wanted to catch was the description which I did.  The entire back has the same write-up but in different languages!  How do you even repair curly hair?  I don't think curly hair needs repairing, but okay.  You will help maintain a healthy appearance? That sounds much better, I'll take it!

So we got the texture of a cream.  The whole 20ml was a pretty good amount for my length of hair, it all blended in fairly well and is soaking into my hair nicely as well.  It will probably be fully absorbed come morning!
The results from the hair mask had made my hair really moisturized, shiny looking and soft.  Nothing stands out with this mask but at the same time nothing turned me away from it either.  I would definitely use this again if it came in another box!

First thing I would like to say about this mask is since it says it's a peeling gel mask and the picture looks as though it hardens onto your face and you peel it off.  Because of this, it was quite the shock when the texture wasn't what I expect from a peel off mask whereas it was more liquidy.  I used a thin layer and left it on my face for 15-20 minutes.  You can either leave the mask on or gently rub it off in a circular motion within 3-5 minutes with similar results if you're on a time restriction.  A great thing about this mask is it smells like a juice, I could literally just drink this forever if it was. With this mask, it is re-sealable and re-usable.  With that being said, you can get approximately 4-5 uses out of this mask!
These are just the samples from purchasing at Lush twice!  How amazing is that?!! Only twice.  I think it's safe to say that Lush is extremely generous on their samples. I also think that they give enough size to make an opinion on the products which is why I chose to make a post specifically for samples. Keep in mind that these are only samples and it is very possible that some of these products  may require a bigger amount to notice any significant improvements in whatever the products are targeted for.

Angels on Bare Skin is a face and body cleanser.  This is actually what I'm most excited to use.   This has a minty forest natural type smell going on, just like stepping into a forest.  so delicious, I'm really loving this scent.  For application I'm just going to mix it with a little bit of water and apply it generously to my face.  Going into this blindly and realizing how messy it actually is, I recommend doing this in the washroom right before your shower and rinse it off that way.  Leaving this cleanser in for approx. 10 minutes then rinsing off, it actually didn't do a whole lot to my skin and what it did do was very minor.  The only thing great about this product is the smell in all honesty.  Maybe I did something wrong during the application but highly unlikely.  I'm pretty disappointed in this product actually which is unfortunate but what can you do?  If I get another sample of this I'll try it again and hope for the best but this is all I have to say about it for now.

Next we have Big Solid Conditioner.  This was yet again another product that I was excited to try out!  This is a fair sample and I decided to cut it in half and get 2 uses out of it.  This has a very soft lovely sweet smell, a bit of vanilla.  It has a very moisturizing texture and I feel like you could also use it as a body moisturizer as well.  For application all I did was lather it up in my hands, get a little water on it for easy lather and then rubbed it all in my hair.  Immediately it hadn't done anything and every other conditioner I have ever used is always smooth and makes my hair really soft and silky.  With having curly hair this did absolutely nothing as far as actually conditioning and detangling goes, and my hair feels stiff more than anything??  I think I'll stick with my hair masks and regular conditioner just from those two alone.

At first I thought American Cream was a cream but after going onto the site it was actually a conditioner. yay I love conditioners and this one looked really creamy as well as had a great light strawberry scent to it.  This didn't take out all of the tangles but quite a few of them, I also liked the way it made my hair feel silky to the touch.  I think if I had 2 sample sizes or diluted it with a bit of water it would have been amazing.  It also left my hair with a subtle scent of strawberries. My final thoughts are this would be a great addition to anybody's hair routine.

The Veganese  hair conditioner smells VERY strong of citrus so right off the bat if you are sensitive to citrus-type scents this probably isn't the right product for you.  I was going to try to squeeze 2 usages out of this badboy right here however because my hair is so long I could only get one use out of it.  Even out of the shower, the citrus smell lingers fairly strongly.  As far as the conditioning aspect goes, most if not all conditioners make my hair soft and I am able to run my fingers through with little tangles in the way.  This made my hair soft but unfortunately I couldn't really run my fingers through.  Granted my hair was pretty tangly prior to usage, it helped a little bit but not what I was expecting.  Generally that is what I look for in a conditioner and it just didn't deliver.  I do however enjoy the scent and that it's made my hair shiny-that's always a bonus.

This is the Mangnificent soap.  I read somewhere that they used this for a body soap in the shower so I decided to do the same.  It's really strong citrus-like scent but not too overpowering, I like it.  It doesn't actually go on very strong but very subtly in my opinion.  This also didn't make a whole lot of suds either.  I probably wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this bar but it was very lovely as a sample.

I was super excited to try Dark Angels but was hesitant as I was under the impression it was a face mask and had a few I wanted to use before this one!  Turns out it isn't a face mask but a cleanser.  Facepalm.
Still thinking it's a face mask and wondering if I waited too long to use this.  Okay, so basically you mix it with a little bit of water and rub it on your face in circular motion, well that's what I did.  I left it on for about 20 minutes because I wanted to.  I was starting to break out earlier today (just one pimple, but it's the end of the world-mid life crisis), anyway and this seemed to have put control on my break out so big thumbs up for that!  I think this made my face smoother than what it was originally.  The smell is something that you either like or you don't.  I personally kind of like it, it gives my senses something different to take in.

And the last sample I tried out is Zeste.  Oh woops! I thought this was a shower gel my bad, serves me right for not doing my research before using it.  Turns out this is a hair styling gel, my bad.  Anyhow, my  experience with this as a shower gel was alright.  It has a very strong citrus-like mandarin scent that lingered for a little while after my shower.  This did the job as a shower gel, not sure what I can say about a hair styling gel but ok, suppose it could be a multi purpose tool...yeaah..

Overall, I do think that I would need to have more product to get a really good opinion on these items.  I would say that Angels on Bare Skin smelled the best, American Cream did the best job, and I really liked trying the Big Solid Conditioner.

I didn't want to go overboard with these because it's my first time trying the Lush mud masks and they have a quick to expire date.  Now with these types of masks I like to use them when I'm having a bath and rinse off via shower because it can turn messy real quick.

So the first one I picked to use was the Cupcake mud mask.  Does it ever smell amazing!  It's got a nice not too overpowering minty chocolate scent I could just about eat it.

 Thank you Lori!

This mask is designed to clear skin and reduce red spots and blemishes as well as help oily skin. I had put this mask on pretty thick with still a little bit left in the pot.  It went on with no hassle and hardened where the thinner spots were at.  I left it on for a good hour while soaking in the tub and still the minty chocolate smell was there.  This had made my skin softer, smoother and moisturized.  As far as redness goes I could see a subtle difference but not a whole whole lot.  This was a decent mask for my first one and I'm excited to try the next one out!

The second face mask I bought was BB seaweed.  I was drawn to buy this because I actually enjoy ocean smells because it's so fresh.

 Thank you Sheldon!

This mask has a very mousse like fluffy texture to it, I like that!  I applied it on not as thick of a coat and still have half of my jar left!  Leaving it on for the duration of my bath at upwards to an hour.  This left my skin feeling very soft, hydrated and moisturized.  It's brought a nice glow but not too overpowering that my red cheeks are like Rudolph's nose.  This mask hardened on my face over time and the smell went away however if I yawned or anything, immediately the scent would come back, yum!  The lady at Lush said that it was great for sensitive skin as well.  I will definitely repurchase this.

Face masks are not only great for your skin but also an awesome way to just relax and destress from a hectic day!  You can use them in your bath while you're soaking in some bath salts as well, two birds with one stone, right? All of these masks are paraben free as well.

I love peel off masks because you can feel it working on your skin more than any other type of mask I have yet to try.  Also it gets really firm on your skin and you can literally peel it off!  What could be more fun?

It has a bit of an orange hue going on there.
This applies in gel form and hardens to the point where you can't move your face and it's even hard to talk!  I don't recommend using a peel off mask if you are busy and need to be constantly moving your face around/facial expressions because it could turn for the worse.  The formula smells just like honey, I also got a whiff of medicine as well as weird as that sounds.  Immediately during application I could feel it working on my face concentrating on my cheeks-I'm pretty sure that's the most sensitive part on my skin and not sure whether it's a good thing all of these chemicals are going on my cheeks-and I got a cold tingly feeling for about ten minutes until that went away and it started hardening onto my skin.  After about an hour-you should be taking it off by now-it's fully hardened, I can barely move my face and it's stopped tingling/the affect has gone away.  Another reason why I really love peel off masks is that once you've peeled everything off your skin feels like a babys bottom!  My skin is so smooth and soft! On top of that it did what it hydrated and tightened my skin. All in all great mask, and a lot of fun too!

I love anti-aging masks even though I'm not sure how much it anti-ages me but I just like the thought of saving my youthfulness.
It was a shock because I expected this to be a gel form kind of mask then it turns out to be an opaque cream like color so on immediate thoughts I was like 'okay this is a clay based mask, cool'.  But it wasn't even that.  This is fairly creamy, and goes on like a lotion.
 Could have fooled me really.
Alrighty, so after about 30 seconds of leaving it on I can feel a cooling sensation and it probably won't go away until I wash it off!  This actually has not much of a scent either which I find off because most if not all face masks I've used have had some sort of scent whether I could describe them or not! I actually had a little bit of product left over so they give you plenty to do your face thoroughly, I only applied a thin layer though but it's all you need really anyway.  Over a little bit of time I notice that it is actually hardening as a clay based mask would.
On the aftermaths of this mask I really like the results.  My face feels very smooth and firm.  What I find stands out with this mask is that well if I wasn't pale enough as it is, this mask has made me look 10x more paler how ridiculous is that??? jk #palegirlsrock.  I really like being pale because it gives off a porcelain look.  Overall, I would recommend this mask because the results are pretty satisfactory!

I thought this mask would have some sort of smell to it but actually didn't.  With being my first time trying a clay mask I had also expected it to harden onto my skin when it didn't do that either!  A few surprises here with this one.  For wash off to save mess I just hopped in the shower, that seemed to work well enough.  My results were nothing special in fact I found that it actually made my skin dry.
This is what it looks like straight out of the package.

Yeah it's kind of messy, and I was in the tub relaxing!

Overall, I would repurchase both of the firming masks and pass on the detoxifying one only because I found it did nothing for me.  I really enjoy peel off masks, they're fun to do!
