A'pieu Smart Speeder Foundation stick vs. Sweet Leilani Foundation stick
Since I often have a lot of red on my face (Rosacea) I always use a foundation stick before applying any makeup whatsoever! Since my current stick is running low I thought why not a good time to purchase another one!
Sweet Leilani is a company based out of Vancouver, Canada. They make their products around people who have cancer or permanent scarring. To read a more thorough explanation about them click here. You can also navigate through their website from that link as well.
As far as A'pieu goes, well you know me with RoseRoseShop and Korean beauty products. How could I not resist?
Here we have Sweet Leilani. The packaging is pretty. It reminds me of Hawaii which is actually what drew me in to begin with. Other than that it just looks like your standard foundation stick and packaging, sort of plain. This stick is nearly gone so it's pretty safe to say that I did enjoy this product. This is in the shade "Bronzed Bodies" which is actually kind of funny because there is nothing bronzed about this color. I'm pretty pale and it matches my skin tone perfectly fine. I get the initial application on with the stick then I just use my hands to rub it in after and the coverage on this is pretty good for what I want to use it for (a base coat). My red spots are faded out enough and my skin tone is corrected so that I have a single base color to work with on my face. Cheeks are still a little flushed but that is fine because it looks like a nice blush has been applied.
This is the A'pieu foundation stick. I can't remember exactly which shade I ordered and due to it being Korean nor can I read anything no the package or stick itself. But let's just assume that I ordered the shade that I thought looked closest to my skin tone! That's what most people would do anyway. Surprisingly enough, it did fit my tone pretty nicely! I am impressed. Again same application. Pretty much the same outcome as well. Let's just keep a reminder that this is not my actual foundation routine it is just the first layer so I am not expecting a full coverage by any means! This blends into my skin well and has well staying power.
Neither of these sticks are oily, they both work and do their job as supposed to. Sweet Leilani is good for if you have acne scarring as I would think that it is a more heavier duty foundation stick even though it goes on and it would be as though you didn't even have it on! This is a very close one on who would win this because I would repurchase both of these. In my honest opinion I think it would come down to me supporting businesses in Canada. So because of just that reason I would have to say that Sweet Leilani does take the cake.
I hope this post helped you, if you have any questions feel free to ask and we will try our best to answer them!
