Lime Crime lipstick collection and review!

For those of us who are a little adventurous in the world of color!
Just a little bit of information about this brand, Lime Crime is 100% vegan and has super cool awesome packaging which cannot be beat, not even by Mac! Who doesn't want shiny unicorns and stars all over their lipstick case with a purple background??? Now, if you are looking for neutral colors, this won't be the spot for you, and I will show you exactly why in this post.
Oh see here it says right on the packaging "Vegan lipstick." Perfect!  The packaging is very similar to Macs packaging shape wise except Lime Crime is a bit bulkier and taller.

I dropped one of my tubes on ceramic tile right after taking these pictures! Not a good idea Allie, lipsticks aren't made of steel!

Alright, let's jump into the swatches! Here we goooooo-
The first color I would like to introduce is called Great Pink Planet.  This is the perfect baby doll pink in my opinion. It is so opaque and pretty and pink.  Works for every skin tone and just makes the look. What you see in the tube is identical to what you get on your lips.  One of my favorite and go to colors actually out of all of my lipsticks.  So yes, I would definitely buy this again.

The second color is called Geradium.  This is a bright almost neon pink.  Use this color if you want a pop in your makeup routine.  It works, it's perfect for that. I actually am quite fond of this color as well and used it for a while, up until I ordered Great Pink Planet.  But I do find myself going to this color on occasion even now.  It's also extremely opaque and will fill your lips with again, the same color as what you see in the tube!  I would order this again as well.

Since I don't particularly have any reds in my collection I figured that I've had good luck with Lime Crime color wise that I may as well give their red a go!  This color is called Glamour 101. Now first off I am not so sold on whether red even looks good on me or not yet.  I can't make a decision from just one color.  As far as this product goes, you can tell from the picture that it isn't as opaque as the other two above and really, it's not a special kind of red color.  I would pass on this one, save your money for better. #sorrynotsorry.

I don't know what it is about purples but they look absolutely amazing on me and I love them!  This color is called Airborne Unicorn.  I had been debating on whether to get D'lilac-the lighter version of this  color- or this one.  After quite some time I had decided on this one and I am not disappointed to say the least!  It is so opaque and applies very nicely. This color is perfect for the spring and summer.

This color is called Mint To Be.  I'm not exactly sure why I ordered this at all actually.  Maybe I thought it would be fun to play around with?  Turns out I hardly use this one at all.  Even to wear it just because it doesn't look very good on me, but I will continue to find options over time.  As far as the opaque-ness goes for this, like I said what you see in the tube is the exact replica of what you're going to get when it is applied.

Now these colors, I am absolutely LIVING for these colors.  On the left we have Serpentina and on the right we have Poisonberry.  If you are looking to make a fashion statement for the fall, look no further because these products are going to blow you away.  The description on the website says that it is loaded with pigment and sparkles, well they certainly were not exaggerating.  Oh, and before I forget, it is pretty hard to get your hands on this color as I have been searching for it since the beginning of 2014.  It was never on the Lime Crime website up until recently so I snatched it real fast.  As for Poisonberry I absolutely love this color and it has so much potential but the only thing with this is that it isn't as opaque- sort of like Glamour 101.  And it is so unfortunate because otherwise it would be one of my favorite colors, EVER. I would wear it daily!
So here they are both swatched together and as you can tell Poisonberry is not so opaque as Serpentina.  You can see through to my skin on Poisonberry!  Apart from that, the color is beyond amazing and it also applies very nicely.  So yes, I would repurchase both of these.

With all of these colors I have found that they apply smoothly and none of them have a matte finish moreso a glossy finish.  Their staying power pending on whether you're eating or whatnot is fairly  decent, you may have to touch up during the day but what lipstick stays on all day anyway?  Now, one thing that must be known is that when removing, some may leave stains due to the high pigmentation.  You can tell just on my hand swatches!  Most if not all of these colors are worth the price they're asking for.  You can purchase all of these shades and many more here.
I hope this post helped you, if you have any questions feel free to ask and we will try our best to answer them!
