How I keep organized!
Life can get super busy and it is so easy to forget just the smallest things especially if you've got a lot on your plate. Everybody is different with jobs and home life and extra curricular activities but with me this is how I manage and organize everything!
My situation is that I have to juggle around 2 jobs, my friends and family, personal hygiene and care, alone time as well as the gym. Here in Canada it is the middle of winter and we seem to have been bombarded with storms the whole month of February so just that alone makes it hard for me to fulfill my commitments.
This seems to be the technology age and people just put their schedules into their phones and rely on that as organization. I on the other hand like to be old fashioned.
I carry a daily planner everywhere I go! When my work schedule comes out, I write it in here immediately! That way when both of my schedules are out, I can juggle and balance everything else from there. I also put my pay days down and how much I get paid so I can figure out my financial situation as well. Not to mention it's the cutest little thing! awawaw. Because let's face it, who doesn't want to carry around cats all day everyday?
Since I rely on drives into work I need to be able to communicate my schedule with other people, and I figured what better way to do it than this? With one job it isn't as confusing but when you mix two into the equation it starts to get a little confusing. This is just a really cute generic monday-friday calender. Each page can do up to four weeks, you just put in the month at the top then the days on the corner of each block. The only thing is it doesn't include weekends, but with the 'Weekend' block I just put my schedule in there manually. This makes it really super easy for everybody to know where I will be and when.
I grabbed some stickers because sometimes there will be things that gotta be done that you just don't want to do. This will add some extra fun into your organization and help you to be on top of things. I also just thought the color pattern was just super pretty and I couldn't really pass these up lol.
All of these strategies are new this year and work really well for me, I never forget anything and am always on time for my priorities and commitments. I also use my phone as an internal alarm clock and that has never failed me.
Although it is possible to get everything planned just via your phone, sometimes it can get boring so why not try to make it fun and exciting on those days you just don't want to do anything but lay in bed!
Other suggestions to make your organizing and planning a better experience could be something like, get colorful crayons or markers and do color co-ordinations separating each category, or use sticky notes to better organize yourself. The options are literally endless, you can be as creative as you want or be basic. But no matter what strategy you use just make sure that it works because that is the main goal, is it not?
Happy organizing and I hope this gave you some ideas to better your future planning skills!
