Eyebrow tint and wax experience~
So I've gotten my eyebrows waxed before and it has always been either a hit or miss with me and I have yet to find someone to go to permanently locally, UNTIL TODAY!
So basically what happens is I go into the salon and show them a picture of what I want. The girl looked at it and told me right away she couldn't do that UNLESS she tinted my eyebrows because they are too light. Now, generally when I get something like that thrown upon me I tend to steer away from what they're trying to upsell me. But since this girl actually had common sense in her I agreed and went with it, plus I have never had them tinted before so I figured why not, let's give it a try! Especially since I have dark hair to begin with, my eyebrows should be dark anyway.
Let's just get a visual here of what they looked like before and compare to what they look after.
Generally you keep the dye in for 3 minutes but since it was my first time going there she put it in for about a minute just to be safe because she didn't know how my hair soaked in the dye. It's better to be cautious than careless. She put the dye back on for about another minute.
Then she did the waxing. I am not sure what it is about getting my brows waxed, it just feels relaxing.. even though you are getting hot was on your skin then it being ripped off lol. Plus the aftermath you look more clean and polished. Eyebrows really do make the face ladies! Cannot stress that enough. I am extremely picky with my eyebrows so I wanted just the right arch and yeah. She did a pretty damn fantastic job, she told me that she was a perfectionist. Great minds think alike!
So this is the end product, I apologize for the bad quality and lighting of the pictures. Images really do not do the color justice, but this is what we have to work with for now haha. After going to two separate places prior to this, I am extremely impressed with the finished product. :) Now before I forget, I do have Tigi eyebrow pencil on with this so you can't exactly see the tinting itself in the pictures. If I don't get a picture of the tint this time around I will get one next time. It is too unpredictable as to how long the dye will actually stay in at it's full color. This is a new thing for me and I'm excited to see how it plays out. I hope the color stays in like it is right now for the length she said it is supposed to!
Also before I forget to mention, I really appreciate a person who is going to talk about everything beauty related and give me as much information as possibly rather than just sit there awkwardly while they do my eyebrows.. lol. I'm sure you have had that experience before. In my roserose shop haul I had mentioned that I have a red blemish on my face, well the first thing she picked out was that I had "rosacea". She went into great detail about what the symptoms were and what triggers it and she also gave me tips on how to reduce it. Not only that she had offered to get professional products that will help me reduce it even further when I was ready to purchase them. Now most people would think "oh you want me to spend umpteen dollars on so and so for something that will have the same affect as this at a drug store for a portion of the price?" But nooo, she had said to not go to drug store because all you are paying for is the packaging and the cute products rather than a professional product you are paying for the ingredients. Again, that makes so much sense. As much as I am against putting chemicals and crap on my face other than water I don't particularly want white spots on my face come 10 years time lol. so I am pretty tempted to try these products out that she speaks of.
