A metamorphosis of Color

Ever since I bought this palette I have wanted to just dig into it but been stopping myself until I could get time to do a review on it, and now is the time because I just can't wait any longer.
Limited edition Kat Von D Chrysalis palette.
Apart from the packaging being absolutely amazing, I haven't tried any Kat Von D products before and have heard nothing but good things so I'm excited to try this out!

It's hard to get an accurate picture of what it looks like but this is the best I could do.  It's got little skulls on the butterfly's wings that just add to the edginess of it which I find really cool.
The back shows the color names.  I like that there's color names but I prefer it to be right beside the shadow.

It was hard getting a decent picture of the entire palette, this is the best I could do ok!!

Let's head onto the swatches.
These are the highlights.
From bottom to top: Lucid
Lunar Lights
Lifelike.
The lightest one you can barely even tell it's there on my skintone.  I don't really use highlights but if I were to I'd probably be inclined to go for the middle one!

From bottom to top:  Tornay
Entombed
Graphic Nature
Black Milk
The first four colors!  I really like the middle two!

These are the last four colors.
Bottom to top in first picture:
Melancholia
Glasswing
Transition
Mezzanine
Hybrid Moments
My favorite color out of the entire palette is the chromatic silver one.  It is like its own little shape shifter..but with color!

Overall I absolutely love Kat Von D shadows! I am in LOVE. They are the creamiest shadows I've ever used, they go on so smoothly with no hassle and blend very well. I'll probably start using this as my go-to palette along with my Inglot colors.   One thing I did notice is that they are a little chalky but that's nothing that can't be fixed with a little patting and blending. I also noticed that in the making of the palette they put the names on the back so it's a constant hassle to figure out what name is what always flipping it back and forth-it's miniscule compared to the actual product but it all counts!
I'm going to be getting the other two palettes in this line because I love this one so much!
